As the President of Coralium, I was previously employed with The Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (CITC) which was the national trade association for individual travel professionals in Canada and is now the education division of The Association of Canadian Travel Agents (ACTA).

In my 20+ years there as the National Certification Manager, I was involved in many aspects of training, HR, and curriculum development. This gave me the insight and foundation background for Coralium Consulting.

As per my philosophy, just like home cooking, I like to ensure that any projects I develop or produce are simple, down to earth, made up of easy ingredients and usable everyday by people working in the occupation.

My background gives me the expertise to:

• Develop in-house training programs
• Deliver and develop presentations
• Train, coach and mentor staff
• Identify sales & service needs
• Analyze occupational standards and certification issues
• Write, edit, review and analyze exam questions
• Review and write procedures for performance evaluations
• Facilitate and assist in the coordination of meetings, conferences, events, seminars and webinars

Having known and worked with Coralie Belman for over 13 years, I can attest that she is one of most hard-working, travel industry professionals I have met. Coralie is careful but not reserved when it comes to providing her opinion. She is thorough in her research and consequently very knowledgeable in education of the travel professional. Her skills however are not limited to this field alone. She applies the same tenacity to any project she becomes involved with be that events management or human resource management. Although not intended, Coralie has been a mentor to me. I have a high degree of respect and admiration for her and for her work in the Canadian Travel Industry and I am honoured to consider her a friend.
